MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis FBI officials are investigating after a bank was robbed in Calhoun Square on Thursday.
Authorities said the incident happened at about 4:27 p.m. at the Bremer Bank on the 3000 block of Hennepin Avenue. A robber, who did not display a weapon, approached a bank teller and demanded cash. He got an undisclosed amount of money and then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male with a tan or a ruddy complexion, about 6 feet tall with a small mustache and is about 40 years old. He wore a grey stalking cap and glasses. He also wore a grey sweatshirt during the robbery, but it’s believed he took it off after the robbery. He then was believed to have changed into a blue polo shirt.
Earlier this week, the TCF Bank on Lake Street was robbed twice in two days by a man who looks very similar to the Bremer Bank robber in surveillance photos. It is not yet known if these incidents are related.
Anyone with information about the incident or who can identify the suspect is asked to call the Minneapolis FBI at (612) 376-3200 or Minneapolis Police at (612) 673-5705.
