WRIGHT COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – After a 12-year-old boy showed his school principal evidence that his mother was using narcotics, 32-year-old Sabina Marie Coolen, of Chatham Township in Wright County, has now been charged with storing meth paraphernalia in the presence of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, the son reported Coolen’s drug use to his principal by delivering a small ziptop bag. The principal delivered the bag to the police, and inside it was a small amount of a white crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, the complaint states.

The son also told police there’s a safe in the home that he has access to because he knows where the keys are located.

After the Wright County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant of Coolen’s home on Nov. 20, they found the safe in the upstairs bedroom of the home.

Inside it was Coolen’s expired driver’s license, and a glass bulb pipe with a burned white residue inside of it. The residue tested positive for meth.
