MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has released his report on the 45-year-old man who was found dead inside a burning home earlier this month.
According to the medical examiner, Jay Rosio, of Minneapolis, died as a result of “complex homicidal violence.” His manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
A teen faces murder charges in connection with Rosio’s death after he was found on Nov. 2 in his burning north Minneapolis house on the 3800 block of Humboldt Avenue.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office said 18-year-old Jamil Joshua Eason has been charged with second-degree murder for the incident.
Inside the home, firefighters found Rosio face down on the floor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A cell phone and computer taken from the home led authorities to arrest Eason, the attorney’s office said.
The Minneapolis Police Department will continue to investigate.
