MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A jury found a 23-year-old Maple Grove man guilty in a 2010 gas station shooting that left one person dead and two other injured.

Ryedelle Reginald Loving was found guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in connection with the incident. The verdict, which was announced on Thursday, was handed down on Monday.

The shooting happened at the Old Colony gas station on Washington Avenue North early the morning of July 25, 2010.

Twenty-eight-year-old Gilbert Jordan died of his injuries in the shooting. His brother was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.

A third victim was also injured in the shooting.

The trial was postponed multiple times, because Loving changed lawyers after deciding he wanted to plead self-defense, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.

Loving is scheduled to be sentenced next week. First-degree murder convictions carry an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole in Minnesota.
