MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 44-year-old man accused of hitting at least six west metro homes in burglaries this year has pleaded guilty to charges, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffrey Luke Boemer pleaded guilty to six counts of residential burglary in connection with the case. He’s expected to receive up to 10 years in prison as a result.

Boemer pleaded guilty to burglarizing six homes in Golden Valley and Minnetonka. Investigators identified him as the suspect from a prescription inhaler that was left at the scene when he fled after homeowners interrupted the burglary in progress.

Authorities arrested Boemer in Minneapolis in a vehicle he allegedly stole from another break-in. He told police he was targeting up to 12 homes last spring in pleading guilty to one count of first-degree burglary and five counts of second-degree burglary.

Boemer told police he would enter homes through windows and steal laptop computers, money and jewelry. Boemer admitted to police he is a career criminal and has a 20-year history of crime.
