SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — An ex-soldier from Minnesota is one of five more men charged in connection with an anti-government militia that authorities say was led by soldiers from Fort Stewart in Georgia.

He’s identified as 26-year-old Christopher Jenderseck of St. Cloud. The five are accused of burglaries and other crimes that prosecutors say were intended to fund the militia.

Jenderseck is charged specifically with two counts of evidence tampering and three counts of illegal gang activity.

The new charges come after prosecutors last month announced that four Fort Stewart soldiers charged with killing two people in December belonged to a militia group they say planned to bomb a park fountain in Savannah, poison apple crops in Washington state and overthrow the U.S. government.

The St. Cloud Times reports Jenderseck is a 2004 Apollo High School graduate.
