ST. CROIX FALLS, Wis. (WCCO) – Police say they have an Eagle Valley Bank robbery suspect in custody after the St. Croix Falls, Wis., bank was robbed on Friday.
Police say that at 11:16 a.m. Friday, a woman wearing a yellow safety vest, a baseball cap and sunglasses entered the bank and showed a note to a teller, saying it was a robbery and to give her money.
There was the threat of a weapon, police say, but the teller couldn’t see one. After the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, the St. Croix Falls Police Department was able to track down the vehicle that matched what the bank tellers had described.
The woman was identified as Tanya Kay Anderson, 39, of Stanchfield, Minn.
The stolen money was recovered and Anderson was booked for armed robbery, in addition to a Polk County warrant for issuance of worthless checks.
