MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - The woman who was charged with hitting and killing a man on an I-94 ramp is appealing the verdict.
Amy Senser is currently serving a 41-month sentence in the Shakopee Women’s Prison.
She was found guilty of hitting Anousone Phanthavong and driving off last August.
On Friday, her attorney filed the paperwork listing why the appeal is necessary.
Reasons he listed include: lack of evidence, not moving the trial out of Hennepin County – allowing what he considers prejudicial video of accident reconstruction, and failing to allow Phanthavong’s toxicology report from the medical examiner’s office.
The Hennepin County attorney’s office said it couldn’t comment on the appeal because it hadn’t seen it yet.
